Attended the tutor briefing meeting for CASE 12 last Friday - the tutorial looks very interesting, and I am going to attend a tutorial on Thursday and Friday next week, to observe the process.
What makes this tutorial interesting is that it is run as a 'real-world' exercise, where the students are given the symptoms from a real patient, and are then asked to perform a diagnosis. This diagnosis involving requesting 'tests', and these tests have a monetary value ascribed. Results from requested tests are made available, and, depending on the test result/s, the diagnosis proceeds.
The tutors' role in this process to oversee the diagnosis, and to supply test results, etc.
Feedback is given at the end of the tutorial.
The type of teaching being undertaken would appear to be of interest, and relevance, to teaching in libraries.
